Government Jobs In Washington

The U.S. government plans to hire close to 273,000 federal workers for positions during the coming three years. The jobs are outlined in an online guide, titled “Where the Jobs Are 2009: Mission-Critical Opportunities for America,” which the Partnership for Public Service published.

The government-wide survey of the organization, a Washington-based non-profit group that examines federal workforce issues, lists the number of positions by agency and job category for 2010 through September 2012.

The information is intended to be used in conjunction with the federal job openings that are posted on USAJobs.gov, the site the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) operates as a central repository of government job listings.
