Driver Driving Job Truck
The second of NASCAR’s top three divisions has a champion after the November 12th race at Phoenix (Arizona) International Raceway. Chemung, New York native Todd Bodine earned his second Camping World Truck Series title with his 12th-place finish in the Lucas Oil 150 on Friday, November 12th. This is Bodine’s second Truck Series title, his first since 2006.
While Bodine won’t officially receive his trophy until the season finale at Homestead-Miami (Florida) Speedway on Friday, November 19th, he has a 202-point lead on second-place Aric Almirola that cannot be made up in one race. Germain Racing, Bodine’s truck owner, is currently second in Truck Series owner’s points, 120 markers back from Kyle Busch Motorsports. Busch’s team ran the full season using different drivers, including Busch himself, Kasey Kahne, and Johnny Benson, among others.
